School Literacy Programme

School Financial Literacy Programme

One of the key focus areas for SPX is to increase the attractiveness and the awareness about the stock market in Fiji and has placed a great emphasis on this developmental role and has embarked on the significance of financial literacy surrounding the stock market through various awareness mediums.

In order to extend on the various awareness initiatives and capture a wider spectrum of people, the SPX now involves school students into its financial literacy and investor awareness initiatives. Commencing in 2018, the SPX organised a National Essay Competition covering students from Year 9 to Year 13 and further extended this financial literacy program in 2019 through a National Poster Competition amongst the upper primary school students as well with a view to assess their understanding of overall money matters as well as examine their creativity and artistic skills while helping them build their knowledge about the share market.
