SPX in consultation with Terrapinn Holdings Limited (Terrapinn) being the international event manager for World Exchange Congress (Congress) have made a decision to postpone the 2020 Congress to a date to be announced later. 

The event was initially announced to be held from 2nd to 4th of June 2020 at Sofitel Resort & Spa.

The decision to postpone the event is stemming from the unfavourable impact of the Coronavirus as the impact on the Congress in Fiji is probable due to the imminent involvement of the international delegates from multiple countries intending to be part of the event. SPX and Terrapinn have held significant discussions to assess various planning and logistical matters surrounding the Congress, including the health and safety concerns of all attendees as well as the impact of international travel restrictions on potential attendees.

With the prevailing situation surrounding the Coronavirus and no indications on any definite timelines for the virus to be contained, it is not prudent to propose a revised date for now, however, genuine intention from SPX and Terrapinn remains to continually assess the impact of the virus in the coming months and publicise the revised date as soon as practicable.

SPX would like to reaffirm that all efforts would be deployed to execute the Congress at the rescheduled date and also looks forward to working with its sponsors, media partners and suppliers to host a successful event once the rescheduled date is known.
